Finding You (Finding #1) by S. K. Hartley

Finding You (Finding #1) by S. K. Hartley – 3 stars

This book had a lot of potential. I was hooked instantly. However, the writing was not great. There were so many errors with grammar and typos that I couldn’t look past. The biggest problem were all different thoughts combined into a single sentence. There were so many of these throughout the book that should have been split into two or three sentences.

The prologue is what hooked me from the get-go. A back story of her traumatic experience to give us a glimpse into why she is the way she is now.

As far as the characters are concerned, I had difficulty liking the main character, Neva. She flip flops with her emotions so easily. I’ll keep the general story to myself as not to spoil it, but I just couldn’t feel sorry for her when she was digging herself into a hole.

However, while I was disappointed in the writing style, the overall story is good. I will be reading the second book in the near future.
