Or maybe it’s just that beautiful things are so easily broken by the world.
Another excellent read!
Writing reviews for these books are getting harder and harder because I don’t want to give anything away from the series, let alone individual books. And when a series runs this long or more, it’s difficult to gush about what you love or hate without spilling all the secrets. And this book was definitely a love. Oh, how I wish I could tell you all the things!!
With each book, the characters fall into their own more than the last. The attitudes, the snarky comments, and the friendships growing between them all. Not to mention Jace and Clary. But, well, you know…
“You’re just worried they’ll hire a male instructor and he’ll be hotter than you.”
Jace’s eyebrows went up. “Hotter than me?”
“It could happen,” Clary said, “You know, theoretically.”
“Theoretically the planet could suddenly crack in half, leaving me on one side and you on the other, forever and tragically parted, but I’m not worried about that either. Some things,” Jace said, with his customary crooked smile, “are just too unlikely to dwell upon.“
This book takes new twists and turns that will leave you anxious for more. Cassandra Clare knows how to build the tension, and in this book, it comes down to a cliffhanger moment that will leave you stunned.
Rating: 4 stars!
